A few of our friends down here in Texas have asked about our college experience back in Kansas. Well, obviously a midwest education is far superior to any other kind, but we’ve had a little trouble convincing them. So in an effort to show them just how educated we are, here’s a little audio clip a friend of ours made. It demonstrates best, I think, the skills we learned in writing poetry in foreign languages. Enjoy!

These figures have been around awhile, but nothing has made me feel laughter, sadness, concern, and just plain wrong like these statues. I heard about these a few months ago on the RELEVANT Poscast and had to see for myself. Part of me wants to get one of these for the sake of it, but I’m not sure I could justify spending $20 on something so questionable.

Freak out someone you love…buy now at Catholic Supply of St. Louis!

I think I just might have to hold it… Who knows what’s behind that door!

My Little Ninja Assassin

April 23rd, 2006

Many of our friends down here have new babies and toddlers. I’ve been in awe of the number of pictures they take of their newborn. Today I decided to pull some pictures off our camera that had been sitting there since Christmas. And what do I find? About thirty pictures I’ve taken of our cat, Stevie. I guess I’m just as trigger happy as they are, but he is a pretty cute little kitty. But of course since he’s black and he can take down a mosquito hawk in 2.4 seconds, he’s my little ninja assassin. Here are some highlights.

It’s a smelly smell

smelly-smell.jpgYou’ve got to love bad English translations. I’m sure it’s just as bad when we translate to other languages. If you’re ever bored, head over to Engrish.com for a good laugh.
